Terms of use

Last updated October 12, 2026. Version française

Drawproof is a business based in Quebec, Canada. In these terms, "Drawproof", "we" and "us" mean Drawproof, the operator of drawproof.org. Drawproof provides a tool that selects winners from a list of entries and publishes a record that anyone can verify. By creating a draw you agree to these terms.

Your giveaway is yours

You, the organizer, run your giveaway: its rules, eligibility, prizes, announcements and delivery. You are responsible for complying with the laws and platform rules that apply to it, including any registration, disclosure or tax requirements in the places where it runs. Drawproof does not review giveaways and does not provide legal advice.

What you may not do

  • Use Drawproof for paid-entry raffles, lotteries, gambling or any contest that requires a purchase to enter, unless it is lawful where it runs and you have every required licence.
  • Upload lists you don't have the right to use, or personal data beyond what's needed to identify entrants.
  • Misrepresent who is running a draw or impersonate another person or brand.
  • Interfere with the service, its timestamps, or other users' draws.

YouTube imports

The YouTube import uses YouTube API Services. By using it, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service.

Draws are final

A draw can be cancelled from its private manage link until its randomness round. Cancellations are shown publicly. After the round, the result is final and cannot be changed or re-run.

Public records

Each draw has a public proof page with the title, organizer name, entry count, salted fingerprints of the entries, timestamps, the randomness used and the winners. These records are kept so the draw stays verifiable.

The service

Drawproof is provided as is, during a beta. It depends on third parties (timestamp authorities, drand, OpenTimestamps and our hosting providers) and may be unavailable at times. To the extent the law allows, Drawproof is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and its total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the draw in question.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Disputes will be heard by the competent courts of Quebec, unless the law where you live lets you bring them before your local courts. If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms limits rights that consumer protection laws give you and that cannot be waived, including those under Quebec's Consumer Protection Act.

Language

These terms are available in French and English; the French version is equally valid. Les présentes conditions sont offertes en français et en anglais.
